If the cam bearings are the same size , and the lobes in the corect spots it may work . You should check piston to valve clearences with clay . If a valve cuts through the clay you will need to fly cut the piston . Any good machine shop can do it , but they may need to take the piston off the rod . The gear ratio should be high enough but you may need to rejet , or get a bigger carb . A cam change will make a big diference . You will eather get more low end or high end .
